Will The Real Shane Black, Please Stand Up?

Welcome back to another fun-filled and witty episode of Versus! This week, we are taking on two excellent Shane Black films and throwing them head to head! Along with that, we’ve decided that we are not getting too old for this shit after all– In fact, we feel so spry that we invited our good friend Zane to help us dissect this week’s movies! Zane Simon is a fellow movie nerd who likes to discuss all things film-related. As you’ll soon find out, Zane knows his stuff!

We open up the episode by discussing what we’ve been watching this week and follow up by discussing the Beekly 3.  We kick off the jams with an in-depth discussion about the newly appointed director of WB’s Flash movie.  Zane brings to the table the news that Rogue One has been under heavy criticism for its recent batch of reshoots and we go around the horn and give our thoughts on the matter. And last, but not least, Josh lets the crew know of the upcoming Mallrats sequel spin off series, Mallbrats. For this week’s versus segment, we take a drive down Shane Black lane, as we compare his first screenplay against his first directed film. That’s right, we pit Lethal Weapon against Kiss Kiss Bang Bang! Will the older film hold up against the shiny new film? Stay tuned to find out!

As always, you can leave a comment below to let us know what your thoughts are on this discussion or email us at Versusmoviepodcast@gmail.com.  Stay tuned for next week’s episode where we launch into space to see the world from above! Will Heat be a better film than CollateralJoin us for next week’s Michael Mann-off to find out!
